Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are consistently met. The Production Supervisor will lead and develop a team of 20+ production employees, monitor performance, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of Lean and Standard Work principles.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct, coach, and develop a team of production employees to achieve performance goals
• Conduct daily shift meetings to review safety, quality, and production objectives
• Manage employee performance, provide regular feedback, and promote a culture of accountability and engagement
• Support onboarding and training programs for new employees to build capability and drive retention
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices to drive efficiency and reduce waste
• Support Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve processes
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Lead incident investigations and develop corrective/preventative measures
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Maintenance to align resources and priorities
• Prepare and present shift reports to management covering safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
Required Education, Experience, and Skills - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing with proven track record of leadership progression.
- Direct-people management experience (for both salaried and non-exempt employees) with demonstrated leadership skills of conflict resolution, coaching, active listening, and employee effectiveness.
- Experience with developing, implementing, and driving results through critical manufacturing metrics (including safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Bilingual preferred but not a MUST
Desired Qualifications - Associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- OSHA safety training or Lean/Six Sigma certification a plus.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred•
Working Conditions • Full-time position, with flexibility for occasional overtime and weekend work
• Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
