Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Somerset, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule

• 1st shift: 6AM - 2:30PM
• Monday - Friday
• Plus overtime

Pay Rate

• $18 / hour

Job Summary

We’re seeking a skilled and certified Forklift Operator with at least 1 year of experience operating both cherry picker and sit-down forklifts. This role is essential for safely moving, stacking, and organizing inventory in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate cherry picker and sit-down forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack inventory
• Safely transport products to and from designated storage and staging areas
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Pick and stage orders accurately based on shipping requirements or pick lists
• Ensure proper handling and secure stacking of pallets to prevent product damage
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and location changes
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
• Adhere to warehouse safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure workflow efficiency
• Assist with other general warehouse tasks as needed.

Job Requirements  

• MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating both cherry picker and sit-down forklifts
• Valid forklift certification required at the time of hire
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
• Reliability, punctuality, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.
